Latin Percussion Class
- Beginner 1,
A three month course introducing you to latin percussion instruments with an emphasis on historical backgrounds, basic rythms and culminating in music reading and playing as an ensemble ensemble. Instruments to be covered include Clave, Maraca, Guiro, Cincerro, Bongo, Conga, Piano and Timbal
- Beginner 2,(to be available in fall)
More complex rythms and an introduction to band play with an emphasis on music reading. Students will be encouraged to play as a band.
- Intermediate 1 (to be available in late fall)
Introduction to music reading and writing witha strong emphasis on playing as a band
Classes to be offered soon:
Rythms for the Conga and Bongo
- Cost per class: $80, instruments will not be included, Students are advised to purchase their own for more practice time.
